As a strategist
I ask questions. I love interviewing subject matter experts, salespeople, and customers to uncover what really matters to the people you want to engage. Nine times out of ten, a strategy will emerge naturally from those conversations. I’m insight-led, not data-driven. I’ll take an anecdote overheard at an industry event over paid-for market research every day of the week.
As a writer
I focus on human outcomes that align with our target audience’s interests and needs. There’s a remarkable amount of human ingenuity on display across the tech sector, and it’s the human part that I’m most interested in. Technology engages us because of the opportunities it provides and the possibilities it inspires. It’s about synapses, not silicon.
As a freelancer
I’m here to make your life easier. If that means acting as an extension of your team, count me in. If you’d rather give me a brief, a bit of direction, and a deadline——we can do it that way too. All I ask is for enough space and time to do a good job for you. I’ll always be reachable, but you can expect me to make enthusiastic use of the ‘Do Not Disturb’ button when it’s time to focus.
As a person
I’m laid back, social, and happy. I love to collaborate, laugh, and problem-solve with other tech geeks and marketing wonks. I enjoy hard work but I’m not immune to burnout, and I still get nervous before big presentations. I understand the pressure to deliver. I feel it in my own business and so I work with the kind of care I’d want from someone in my corner.
